InMobi Network Summary
Wednesday, August 26th, 2009- The three month growth average for the InMobi network was 36%.
- Africa and Europe witnessed the highest traffic growth since last month; Nigeria showed hyper growth rates at 1189%.
- Nigeria also enters our top five country list. The top five countries in terms of mobile traffic in Asia and Africa according to the InMobi network traffic are.

Handset and Manufacturer Data according to InMobi Network Traffic
- Nokia is still the leader contributing 19 out of the top 20 handsets.
- SonyEricsson W200i is climbing the charts - moving from the 10th to the 6th position
- Apple share drops from 0.5% to 0.4%


Country Spotlight: India
- India’s network traffic grew by an average of 26% in the past 3 months
- The top 10 handsets have remained the same with small changes in network traffic share contributed by the phones.
- Nokia N70 and Nokia 7210 Supernova climbed the charts whereas Nokia N73 fell
- Content Downloads, portals and communities are the three most often visited site types


- Amongst the carriers, Aircel makes a surprise entry on the carrier share chart and now contributes an astounding 15% driven by the success of it’s Pocket Internet program (Read the complete story on Aircel’s Pocket Internet Card)
- The biggest loss in carrier share was registered by Airtel who lost 7% share. Other players like Spice, Idea have also shown loss in traffic share.

Indonesia
- Indonesia’s network traffic grew by an average of 291% in the past 3 months
- Nokia N70 plunges from 2nd to 6th position to be replaced by SonyEricsson W200i
- Motorola, Samsung and LG tied up at same spot with around 2% of the network traffic



South Africa
- South Africa’s network traffic grew by an average of 593% in the past 3 months
- While the SGH-E250 still tops the chart, Motorola drops completely off radar
- Samsung SGH-E740 is a new entry into the list and jumps straight to 5th position
- Nokia-Samsung battle reads positive for Nokia
